XEOMIN® is a botulinum toxin type A manufactured by Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH, Germany, also known as “naked toxin” aesthetic injectable. Its active ingredient is incobotulinumtoxinA, purified by double filtration to remove the complexing proteins present in many other botulinum toxin formulations. The excipients are only human albumin and sucrose, with no additional complex proteinsXeomin.
It blocks the release of acetylcholine at neuromuscular junctions, temporarily inhibiting excessive muscle contraction. For aesthetic use, it relaxes facial muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles.
