Neuramis is a fillers product developed and patented in Korea by Medytox. It is approved for use by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM) and the (Thai) FDA.
It is a unique product, hence its patented technology, and this is due to the way it is made. The Neuramis filler contains a hyaluronic acid base that is non-animal making it very pure, compatible and non-reactive with the human skin when injected. This lends well to treatment in typically more sensitive treatment areas where fillers are used, such as the lips and under eye regions. Hyaluronic acid is a polymer that is found in all living things, including the outer layer of our skin, known as the dermis. Hyaluronic acid is the matrix inside the dermis that keeps the skin plump and elastic by absorbing water, thus appearing smooth and with good volume.
To avoid the hyaluronic acid based filler from being broken down and absorbed too quickly, the refinement process takes the hyaluronic acid base and performs cross linking. This means to say the small polymer strands are bonded into complex molecules and then filtered by molecular size during the process to obtain the final product. By forming complex polymer molecules, it means the filler when injected into the dermis to boost your natural hyaluronic acid is broken down and absorbed much more slowly by the skin, leaving the effects of the filler longer lasting.
There are two types of Neuramis products widely spoken about and used. These are Neuramis Volume and Neuramis Deep fillers. The consistency and use case for each filler differs slightly. Volume, used for volume adding to wrinkles and the deepest saggy regions. Deep is for medium, as well as deep, wrinkles but also chosen for lip fillers, lip contouring and under eye regions as it provides an ideal push up effect.
Neuramis Volume is described as being thicker when compared to Neuramis Deep. Thus, it would typically be used to boost the volume of the deepest wrinkles but can also be used to provide volume to the laugh lines, jaws and temples. Both Neuramis Deep and Neuramis Volume have been designed as very soft dermal fillers and consequently medical practitioners very infrequently encounter lumps when using the product.
Neuramis Deep is softer and lighter than Neuramis Volume, and is used for medium wrinkles and lip filler procedures.
