Profhilo
3304990099
Profhilo is a dermal filler product used for skin rejuvenation, not to add volume like traditional fillers. It’s designed to improve skin quality and texture rather than create dramatic shape changes.

Active substance: Profhilo is made from hyaluronic acid (HA) at a unique, highly hydrating concentration. It’s a cohesive gel with low- to medium-melody cross-linking that allows it to spread and hydrate rather than form persistent lumps.
Hydration and moisture: The HA draws and locks in water in the skin, providing intense hydration. This helps plump the skin from within and can reduce the appearance of fine lines and creases.
Biostimulation (biomodulation): Beyond hydration, Profhilo is designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the treated areas. This remodeling of the extracellular matrix can improve skin elasticity, firmness, and overall skin quality over time.
Treatment pattern: Typically delivered as a series of injections (commonly 2 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart, though protocols can vary). The injections are placed in a strategic pattern to cover the targeted facial or neck areas. The goal is even distribution and uniform hydration across the treated zones.
Through its unique, patented technology, PROFHILO promotes collagen production; its core mechanisms encompass the following key aspects:
High-Concentration, Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid:** PROFHILO contains an exceptionally high concentration of hyaluronic acid (32 mg/0.8 ml), featuring a specific blend of low- molecular-weight (20–50 kDa) and high-molecular-weight (1100–1400 kDa) hyaluronic acid. This unique ratio allows it to act simultaneously upon different layers of the skin.
Bio-Remodelling, Not Just Filling: Unlike conventional dermal fillers, PROFHILO contains no chemical cross-linking agents. Following injection, the hyaluronic acid does not merely remain localized to "fill" a specific area; instead, it diffuses throughout the tissue. By binding to receptors on the surface of fibroblasts (such as CD44), the HA activates signaling pathways, thereby stimulating fibroblasts to synthesize increased amounts of collagen (specifically Type I and Type III) and elastin.
Dual Mechanism of Action:
Immediate Effect: Immediately following injection, it replenishes the hyaluronic acid within the dermal matrix, thereby improving the skin's hydration status.
Long-Term Regenerative Effect: As the HA undergoes degradation, the released low-molecular-weight fragments stimulate endogenous HA synthesis, neocollagenesis (new collagen formation), and fibroblast activity, resulting in sustained improvements in skin firmness and elasticity.
Gradual Improvement: A treatment course typically consists of three sessions (spaced approximately one month apart). Following the completion of the treatment, the results can persist for 6 to 12 months, as the newly generated collagen requires time to accumulate layer by layer.
Improved skin texture and radiance
Smoother skin with fewer fine lines
Moderate lifting and tightening effects due to collagen remodeling
A more youthful, hydrated appearance
Results are gradual and can last several months, often around 6–9 months, though this varies by individual and area treated. Maintenance sessions are typically recommended to sustain results.
Commonly used for aging facial skin (cheeks, temples, perioral area, neck), but suitability depends on individual skin concerns and medical history. It’s not typically used to restore significant volume or contour like traditional fillers such as hyaluronic acid volumizers.
Side effects can include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at injection sites.
It’s generally well tolerated, but contraindications include active skin infections, certain autoimmune conditions, allergy to HA, or pregnancy/breastfeeding in some guidelines.
As with any procedure, choose an experienced clinician to minimize risks and discuss realistic expectations.
